GB 711 GB 711

GB 711 brings a whole new unique look to early maturity red grain sorghums. It is characterized by distinctively short and very uniform height stalks. The head type is open, which facilitates fast drydown once the grain is physiologically mature. Test weight of GB 711 ranges from 56 to 57 lbs. per bushel. GB 711 has already established an excellent track record for itself. It is a very early maturity hybrid with a uniform plant and dependable yield record year after year. It can be planted as late as July 1st most years in Kansas for use as double crop after wheat or to replace other crops which have been hailed out or otherwise damaged and failed.

GB 721 GB 721

GB 721 is an outstanding new short season Red Hybrid. This new early red is a dependable hybrid with more yield than previous early red hybrids. Fast start emergence and quick finish with bin busting yields of rich red grain. GB 721 is best used where a short season hybrid is needed. We bred this short season hybrid to yield exceptionally well for it's maturity. Farmers now have a grain sorghum hybrid that they can count on in case of a hail out, wash out, and/or replant.

GB 722Y GB 722Y

GB 722Y is a short stature hybrid when planted earlier in the growing season. This hybrid carries a parent line with cold tolerance making it an above average grain sorghum hybrid for getting off to a fast start early in the season. This hybrid does not have an overabundance of leaves therefore it should be planted in a narrow row spacing (20 inches is ideal) to maximize shading and therefore conserving moisture. Uniformity in height and head size and yield is a strong characteristic of this hybrid. GB 722Y is well adapted to most soil types including lighter and/or rocky soils.

GB 737 GB 737

GB 737 is NEW in 2009. This new and unique medium-early red hybrid offers outstanding eye appeal and superior yield performance. GB 737 adapts well to most soil types. Drought tolerance and the ability to wait for rain gives it the ability to survive the harsh weather patterns of Western Kansas at normal plant populations of 33,000 - 36,000. GB 737 has excellent eye appeal and neighbors will be envious of it's great looks and stand until harvest.

GB 738Y GB 738Y

GB 738Y is a medium height plant with an excellent leaf canopy. GB 738Y should be planted in 30 inch rows or narrower row spacings for best performance. GB 738Y also works well in no-till planting conditions with fast and uniform stand establishment. GB 738Y is an excellent cream colored quality grain ideally suited for flaking and feed mill rations. A large root system and strong leafy stalks contribute to GB 738Y’s late season plant integrity.

GB 747 GB 747

GB 747 offers superior yield advantages over comparable competitive hybrids in the medium to late maturity range. GB 747 is a very large planting seed with outstanding emergence and excellent early season growth vigor. The hybrid also produces very large grain that will impress your elevator manager. An excellent large grain in livestock operations for it's ability to flake well. GB 747 has excellent standability under most conditions even though it is above average in height. GB 747 should be planted at nominal, not excessive plant populations.
